Welcome to my web site which is for our sailing exploits, cruises, and general yottie 'stuff'.  We have a Westerly Seahawk 'Hurkur' which is moored in Sovereign Harbour, Eastbourne.  We only got her Christmas 2006, but have spent a lot of time (and money!!) so far on her and have had some great trips so far, primarily to France's shores and the canals.  The video below shows Eyemouth Harbour, on the East Scottish coast, and just off the harbour mouth are a group of rocks called the Hurkur rocks.  This is where our boat's name came from.

Before 'Hurkur' we had 'Alban Rose', a Westerly Centaur which was an excellent introduction for us to sailing our own yacht.

I have filled this site with tales of past cruises on both of our boats, as a record for ourselves and anyone else who might be interested!  Now I have run out of space here, the stories continue on my new site:  http://southwithhurkur.weebly.com/

Just click on the link above and it will take you there.

(If you want to view the photo's at the top of these pages as a slide show you will have to use Google Chrome as your browser when you visit here.)
